NEW Schedule, NEW Showroom!!!!!!

Hi Everyone!

THE SHADES are super excited to announce that we have moved to a new theater at the Clarion Hotel….THE MAIN SHOWROOM! And, beginning June 25, 2012, we’ll be moving to our new schedule as well…Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday evenings at 8:00pm. As always, you can find great online specials at www.WolfTheaterLasVegas.com and www.Vegas.com (free VIP upgrade specials available!), as well as various other discount brokers all over Las Vegas!

We also wanted to share a very small except from the most recent press review “Shades of Sinatra” received…this time from Richard Lane of “Vegas Chatter!”

“This is a very seasoned and very in-sync team…they clearly still enjoy working together and give the numbers all their worth. These folks can sing. If you want an hour and fifteen minutes of songs you know, sung with passion, this show will make you happy…” <read the entire review HERE> It’s worth reading…it’s a GREAT review!

Finally, a fun candid photo with a couple of the singer/dancers and musical director from “Best Little Whorehouse in Texas” after our performance at the San Gennaro Feast in Las Vegas earlier this month (we performed Thursday, Friday & Saturday nights). We had SUCH a great time, as always. Big thanks to Tony Sacca for inviting us to participate again, to the incredible Michael T Orchestra (Dan Ellis, Jeff Davis, Steve Johnson, Gary Queen, Michael Tramontana), to Bruce Hammond (pictured here along with his wife and fellow Shades sub, Jennifer Hammond) for filling in for Ryan on Friday night, and to our many friends and fans who came out to support and “hang” with us. We love you all!

As always, please keep in touch with us on Facebook and Twitter…we look forward to talking with you and seeing you soon!

Meet 3 MORE “Shades” of Sinatra!

We are pleased to introduce you to our 3 newest subs at Shades of Sinatra…please meet the VERY talented Bruce Hammond, Betsy Holm & Nik Mastrangelo!

BRUCE HAMMOND (filling in for LARRY) A Theatre Performance graduate of Western Michigan University, Bruce Hammond has been performing professionally for over 20 years.  Bruce is very proud to have been a part of Augusta, Michigan’s Barn Theatre where he earned his Actor’s Equity Card.  A veteran of over 30 plays and musicals, including A Street Car Named Desire, Jesus Christ Superstar, City of Angels and South Pacific (National Tour), 14 production shows for Princess Cruise Lines and over a dozen films as a member of the Screen Actor’s Guild, Bruce is a multi-talented performer.  Since growing up in Michigan, his career has taken him from New York to Hollywood to Santa Fe and now here to Las Vegas.  Bruce is thrilled to join the cast of Shades and is grateful for the opportunity to pay tribute to his favorite singer of all time, Frank Sinatra!  He can also be seen as Ben “Bugsy” Siegel in the Las Vegas Mob Experience at the Tropicana. (Opening August 27, 2011)

BETSY HOLM (filling in for LISA) Originally from Pasadena, CA, Betsy has been performing in Las Vegas for the past 17 years.  She started out singing in musicals in the Los Angeles area (Evita, 42nd Street and The Importance Of Being Earnest to name a few), as well as rockbands on the Sunset Strip, but eventually ended up in Las Vegas, Nevada!  Most of her time in Las Vegas has been performing in the lounge act circuit in rock/pop bands, but Betsy currently works as a solo act playing acoustic guitar and singing (Foundation Room at Mandalay Bay, House of Blues, Texas Station, the M Resort & Casino, and MANY more).  She also plays steel drums and congas and is a seasoned studio vocalist, so you may hear Betsy on the radio singing on a jingle or two. In addition, Betsy is an accomplished songwriter, having her original songs featured in movies for both CBS and the Lifetime channel! (Opening September 27, 2011)

NIK MASTRANGELO (filling in for CARMINE) It was his love for the classic tunes from the golden era of song and for the masters who made them famous that led Nikolas “Nik at Nite” Mastrangelo to discover and develop his performing talent. With the special touch of singing select tunes in Italian and Spanish, Nik also performs the best known classics from greats like Tony Bennett, Nat King Cole and Bobby Darin. No other artist has had more of an impact on Nik than “The Chairman” himself, Frank Sinatra. During the twilight of his performing career Mr. Sinatra befriended Nik and gave him an open invitation to see his shows from backstage on The Las Vegas Strip. Taking that inspiration, Nik has since honed his skills as a performer being backed by the very best of the Vegas musical community including Gus Mancuso (multi-talented musician who worked for many years with the likes of Sarah Vaughan, Billy Eckstine and the Mary Kaye Trio), Vinnie Falcone (pianist and former accompanist and conductor for Frank Sinatra, and recently with Tony Bennett and Steve and Eydie), and a host of other band and studio musicians. He’s had numerous return engagements at the Railhead at Boulder Station, the Chrome Room at the Santa Fe Station, the Bootlegger Bistro, and was a regular featured performer in the Plaza Hotel Showroom. Additionally, he is a frequent guest of the popular duo Zowie Bowie when they perform with their big band and has also frequently appeared on the TV show “At Your Request” where he, along with Vince Falcone and other noted artists donate their time and talents to support musical scholarships for young aspiring musicians. Nik has a repertoire of over 450 songs which consist of the very best jazz and standards of American popular music. Nik is at home singing with single piano accompaniment or any size group or orchestra, bringing a touch of class, romance and excitement to any event with a heartfelt passion that is evident in every measure.
